What is controlling you? What have you allowed to steal your peace? What have you allowed to steal your joy? What is it? Tell yourself! Be honest.
We have to get out of the habit of allowing others to control us. We need to be more in control of our own situations, as well as the responses to them. We need to tell our situations and circumstances what to do, not let our situations and circumstances tell Us what to do. God created us in His image, and His image is an image of control, compassion, peace, love, grace and forgiveness. God cannot be changed; He cannot be swayed; He cannot be moved; He cannot be tricked; He cannot be reduced to anything less that His beautiful and awe-inspiring grace of being Himself.
He Just Is.
No ifs-ands-or-buts about it.
He Simply Is.
He is consistent; He is loving; He is faithful; He is forgiving; He is graceful; He is full of finesse; He is still; He is THE perfect gentleman. He does not need to be forceful or pushy. His love, integrity and faithfulness speaks for itself.
God cannot come out of his character because He is who He is, and He will always be the same.
So, if we are created in His image, what are we allowing to control us? Think about it…
